My Defining Moment?
I consider myself pretty lucky, doing all the stuff that I’ve done. I haven’t many regrets. I’ve directed two movies. And sometimes you’ve gotta walk in front of all those people and come up with fast decisions. And you just gotta talk yourself into it, steel yourself and say “Wait a minute: you gotta get out, you gotta do this.”
I always tell people to never stop yourself. Because if you don’t go, you’ll never know.

The Defining Moment of my career?
Meeting De Niro for this shoot in LA. He blew me away! The nicest, most real, unexpectedly quiet and sweet man. I was asking about his children, and what he would do if his youngest daughter said she wanted to be an actress. He took a second, smiled and said “My children can do whatever they want. I’d support them through it.” Which is cool, because not everybody has that support.
I learned a lot from the time I had with him, and that is a defining moment of my career. Not many people get that chance.
